The beach is subject to ocean swells that range from no waves to large waves, and can be large or small at any time of the year. The waves tend to break near the shore and can be dangerous at times. We can not predict if the beach will be swimmable or not at any particular time. A trip we took in January '09 was as so flat and calm that you could water ski out there, at other times you wouldn't want to set foot in it. Here are some photos:
