Horses can be rented within a few hundred yards to the south of the condo and up the ravine (arroyo), where I believe it's still named "Jessie James Horse Rentals".  You'll see them walking up and down the beach every hour or two.  These are beautifully groomed, health, happy horses, that are are well mannered and trained.   

Most horses you will find down here are Spanish horses.  Like the American Mustang, which come from the same stock, they are small horses.  Most of the stables around have some a few larger horses for those requiring them.  There are many horse rentals all over the area.  Most people ride along the beach, but they have horse trails all over the hills, should you want such a trail ride.
